Product Flashback: No. 92 Card Case
Few items in our collection rival the popularity of our No. 92 Card Case. The concept for the design emerged more than two decades ago in 2002. I envisioned a hand-stitched, front-pocket wallet made from a single piece of leather. But I lacked the know-how.
I began folding, cutting, and taping paper, not considering how it would be stitched, a process that took even more time to sort out. With some fiddling, a touch of origami, and a stroke of luck, I transformed a flat piece of leather into a folded and stitched card case with two distinct slots and a closing flap. This was a genuine "aha" moment for me.
It’s been in our collection ever since, and it’s not going anywhere.
