Behind the Stitch: The No. 609 Backpack Tote

The No. 609 is designed with our signature water repellent waxed canvas and accented with black, tumbled veg tan leather, both defining features of our Standard Issue collection. We paired the canvas with mil-spec tubular webbing, shown here in coyote brown, giving it a nice subtle contrast to the brush brown wax.
The interior is lined with pack cloth, a lightweight and waterproof nylon consistent across our bag range. Abundant pockets, including a dedicated laptop compartment, complete the interior organization.
What I appreciate most about this bag is its practicality and compact design. It fits perfectly under an airplane seat, and it transitions seamlessly from backpack to tote. While we’re certainly not the first to pioneer this style, our solid construction ensures it's a reliable companion — one I proudly use daily on my one-block commute to the studio.
