To clean waxed canvas, shake or brush off dirt, sand, or other abrasive material. With cold water and a little mild soap (if needed) gently massage surface with a brush or sponge. Rinse with a sponge and cold water, air dry.
Over time, if you notice the wax coating getting thin or the waterproofing begin to break down, you may want to re-wax your bag. Be sure the bag is clean and dry, as the wax will cover anything on the canvas. Lay the bag as flat as possible, and use a soft cloth to apply Tex-Wax or another approved wax to rub down bag as evenly as possible. If you are having difficulty spreading the wax, use a hair dryer to warm it slightly.
Once finished, use your hands to work the wax into the material, follow up by slowly and evenly heating the waxed fabric with a hair dryer. When finished, allow the bag to cure for a day or two by hanging it in a warm, dry place.
