“Mountain Home Fumigation” from 2016, is a painting created by co-founder Kirk Bray. This work perfectly highlights his use of contrast in playfulness. The eerie woodland home loses its sinister appearance when cloaked in a fumigation tent reminiscent of a pop-up circus. It’s this kind of contrast, the light in the dark, that defined much of Kirk’s work in this period.
Kirk has recently opened a solo exhibition at Calico Art Gallery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn featuring his newest works. In collaboration with Calico, Mountain Home Fumigation is now available as a limited edition run of 50 hand-signed and numbered Risograph prints.
