Billykirk is seeking a Production Manager who has strong experience in the accessories/apparel industry. -Manage and oversee production from sample phase through receiving finished goods

-Oversee the sample and production cycle and maintain/update PO’s throughout production as needed, such as partial deliveries, short shipments, or PO cancellations

-Purchasing of all sample and production materials

-Generate all production orders to factories and purchase orders to vendors

-Work closely with designer to source materials and hardware

-Ensure accurate material pricing and factory costs are entered for production

-Work with factories to determine and reevaluate current material yields

-Negotiate best prices with manufacturers and vendors to ensure we are maximizing our margins

-Work closely with designer throughout development process to flag potential issues/changes that may impact production and/or delivery

-Work closely with Design to achieve target cost margin through raw material selection and allocation

-Troubleshoot and supervise tracking of all deliveries with suppliers, and factories

-Communicate with factories on a daily basis to ensure the production schedule is being maintained and there are no delays

-Manage the pre-production sample process by creating sample request forms, swatch cards, cut tickets and cost sheets for factories

-Maintain raw material stock both in house and at factories

-Lead weekly meetings updating WIP with Design/Management on sampling, pre-production, and production

-Work with shipping to ensure goods have been received and meet Billykirk standards

-Manage the pre-production process and calendar to ensure on time delivery

-Initiate proactive communication between Design/Management to ensure that all necessary production deadlines are met



-Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required

-2-3 years experience in production or development required (accessories experience preferred)

-Knowledge of Excel and F2iT Zedonk online business software a plus

-Must have experience in costing and knowledge of retail math

-Experience with leather and hardware a plus

-Must be organized, proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently

-Must be capable of handling multiple responsibilities and possess the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet all objectives.

-Must possess strong communication skills
